Passio, Milcendeau – Jean Yole Museum

the former house of Charles Milcendeau

The museum is located in the Breton-Vendéen marshland. It presents the universe of two artists who were also friends.

One part of the museum is the former house of Charles Milcendeau. (Soullans, 1872–1919) The exhibition part is organized around a patio that reminds us of Spain, a country the artist visited a few times. The museum also allows the eyes to wander on the marshland. This very peculiar landscape has a special place in Milcendeau’s work.
